CLOCK had a Doctor's appointment at 4:30pm.
It was 7:45am. This is a common kind of time problem.

STEP ONE: The first part of the problem is to find how many HOURS are between 7:45am & 4:30.

7:00am to 12 O'clock = 5 hours
NEXT: 12:pm to 4:30pm = 4 hours
We get 9 total hours

STEP TWO: Next we find out how many minutes. We have 45 minutes & 30 minutes. So. We can subtract the 45 minutes from the 30 minutes and we get (MINUS) -15 minutes.

SOLUTION: ( 9 hours - 15minutes) = 8 hours 45 minutes
